The study of economics, law in relation to the environment is the main course in land economy. The course offers the opportunity for a truly multidisciplinary study of some of the key issues of our time. One needs an enquiring mind, critical and analytical skills and the flexibility of mind to take advantage of the diverse nature of the course.
Land Economy, as a subject, considers the role and use of land, real estate and environment within an economy. It applies particularly the disciplines of economics, law and planning for the analysis of the governance of land use, urban areas and interactions with other environmental resources. Applicants for Land Economy have a wide variety of goals.
The Department has a mix of skills and interests that make it an attractive and challenging environment in which to apply.
